In light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued advice that public worship is suspended until further notice.
Above is from the Church of England website:
St Michael’s Church will be open as often as possible.
No public worship will be taking place, but I will be saying prayers and Celebrating Holy Communion as often as I can at 10.30 each day.
Due to the advice about keeping 2 metres apart from each other, the over 70’s and those with underlying health issues being encouraged to not have social contact, I realise that this severely diminishes the number of people who would want to come into the church.
Do let me know if you need any shopping fetching – do know that you are being prayed for – in your prayers remember all those working so hard in the Health Services, Emergency Services and all other Public Service. Especially in Newquay we are praying for all those whose living is found in the hospitality industry, those whose wage will now not be guaranteed.
Pray for the anxious and fearful, but also thank God for His love and seek it to sustain your faith and to guide us through these unprecedented times.
