Wanted. More people to take an active part in our Sunday Worship. Could you read a Lesson? Could you lead the Intercession? The more people we have taking part, the greater the variety of voice and interest for all. There is a short training opportunity for anyone who would like to partake. Could this be you? Please let Chris (CM) or Paul (SM) know if you could do any of these.

Jocelyn Osborne who was a very long standing member of St Michaels passed last Sunday. A service to celebrate her life is being arranged. RIP and may she rise in glory.

Advance Dates Friday 6th March is World Day of Prayer and at St Michaels we are meeting at 11:00 am for a short service followed by a Lenten Lunch from 12 noon in the hall.

Thurs 26th March at 14:00 (meet from 13:30) in the hall is a training event entitled Mental Health and ties in with Safeguarding and also understanding people. We will look at how we perceive and make judgements, what can we do about anyone who is in crisis and grasping reality in their own particular way? With the wide variety of people who come into St Michaels, this brief training is aimed at everybody. Any queries please to Jem.

THE COLLECT
Almighty God,
whose Son Jesus Christ fasted forty days in the wilderness,
and was tempted as we are, yet without sin:
give us grace to discipline ourselves in obedience to your Spirit;
and, as you know our weakness,
so may we know your power to save;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
